As summer winds down, our family seems to be picking up speed...
Greta has started some new ear drops that are anti-fungal. We are going to the ENT (ears/nose/throat) specialist on Friday and are hoping to hear that she is on the road to recovery. A special shout-out to our doc, Val Welch, who has seen Greta more than her own kids in the last few weeks. Dr. Welch rules!!
The boys are getting ready for school to start; Linus in preschool twice a week and Miles in first grade. We've got most of our school shopping done, just shoes left to buy.
I had a sweet Tupperware party last week and earned a boat-load of free stuff! Thanks to Steph Balvin for making the trek out to Maple Lake to put it on. It was the easiest party I've ever hosted so if you've been thinking about having a party, go for it! She makes it super easy and like I said, I'm getting a TON of Tupperware free!
I've been asked to head up the "Vote Yes" committee for the school referendum that will be voted on this November. I said yes, but with a little hesitation. I am passionate about this thing going through; Maple Lake school needs more space in the worst way, but I've never done anything like this before. I'm more of a behind-the-scenes person and I'm not used to being in charge. I'm praying that God gives me wisdom in this (and a lot of smart, experienced people to help!) If we never leave our comfort zone we won't grow, right?
As far as medical stuff goes, not much is new. I had a pelvic ultrasound today to see if there is anything abnormal going on there. I'll get the results in a few days. Next Tuesday I'm having a (gulp) colonoscopy. I've heard that the prep for this is worse than the procedure itself but I'm not banking on that just yet. I'll let you all know how it comes out (ha, ha... that's for you BTB!)
